On May 12, actress and former ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio revealed that people tried to borrow money from her.
During the media conference for her upcoming show, Shine On, Overseas Pinoy, Santos-Concio said she took the opportunity to educate the people that tried to borrow money from her about financial literacy.
“Oo madami-dami.
So ang ituturo mo talaga is the value of discipline. ‘Yung tamang paggamit ng iyong pananalapi. Tamang pamamahala ng iyong pananalapi.”
She then shared what she learned regarding financial literacy, such as living with people’s means.
“Ano ba ang unang tinuturo ng financial management, you live within your means. It gives you the discipline to manage your life well.”
Santos-Concio also imparted her thoughts on the value of financial management, especially for Overseas Filipino Workers.
She then highlighted the role of their Shine On, Overseas Pinoy partner Sun Life, in teaching about financial literacy.
As for Santos-Concio’s newest talk show, Shine On, Overseas Pinoy, she talks with OFWs and their experiences about financial management. Her program streams on May 14 through iWantTFC.
