The Marcos Jr. supporters seemed not contented with their win as some of them–the most rabid supporters continue to sow fake news and disinformation against Vice President Leni Robredo.
At the Leni-Kiko thanksgiving gathering in Ateneo De Manila University, Friday, May 13–Vice President Robredo bared her plan to launch Angat Buhay NGO. It is dubbed as the largest volunteer network in the country and is slated for its official launch in July this year, after she steps.
Immediately after her uplifting speech, Marcos Jr. supporters started spewing lies and misinformation again targeting VP Leni’s latest initiative.
One of Marcos Jr.’s rabid supporters, vlogger, and influencer Madam Ely, uploaded a now-deleted video casting doubts and hate on Angat Buhat NGO.
Madam Ely purportedly associated NGO as New Government Organization which allegedly will compete with the incoming administration.
Netizens who commented on his facebook post slammed Madam Ely for misrepresenting VP Leni’s initiative.
Madam Ely’s tirades generated social media attention, and many Kakampink celebrities and netizens alike slammed him for deliberately casting a bad light on the Vice President.
Celebrity photographer Niccolo Cosme in his tweet lambasted Madam Ely saying “Nakakasuka si Madam Ely. Period.”
@iamcharotism corrected Madam Ely saying NGO stands for Non-Governmental Organization and not New Government Organization.
“Non-Governmental Organization po meaning ng NGO hindi po New Government Owned. Charot!”

Talent manager-host-comedian Ogie Diaz can’t help but laugh at Madam Ely’s dumbness. The vlogger created a stunt after he got corrected by the netizens about NGO.
“Pinanindigan na lang ni Mareng Ely, hehhee.”
Ogie shared a screenshot of Ely’s response to netizens saying “Ahhh now I get it. Nagwala palasila and everyone’s trying to explain to me what an NGO is. Hindi raw ito NEW-GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION kundi NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION. Sobrang gulat na gulat ako. Yun pala meanung nun!?! Gosh!”

Kakampink volunteer and social media influencer Renz Saavedra also shared the same sentiment saying Madam Ely should be platformed for peddling disinformation.
“Unsubscribe, report, deplatform that basurang Madam Ely”

@jajaduqueza shared the same saying the 14-million strong Kakampinks should report the fake news peddler Madam Ely.
“Can we continue to report Youtube/Tiktok/Facebook accounts who claims NGO is New Government Organization? We start with Madam Ely. We are 14M strong. If we report these fake news peddlers, we help with disinformation.”

Meanwhile, a fellow vlogger and influencer Madam Aivan also shared her take on Madam Ely’s latest blunder.
In a tweet, Madam Aivan without dropping names advised the concern to lay the plans and platforms of the incoming government instead of maligning the opposing camp.
“Sa halip na manira, ba’t hindi na lang maglatag ng plataporma o plano para sa bansa? Mas maganda yun di ba?”

He also echoed other netizens correcting Madam Ely about the real meaning of NGO.
“Non-Governmental Organization po ang meaning ng NGO sa “Angat Buhay NGO” Hindi po sya pinaikling Ngongers. Emme.”
Madam Aivan also dismissed engaging Madam Ely directly saying he’s already happy with his life.
“Daming nagme-message sakin sa Facebook at IG about kay ano. I say, masaya na po ako sa buhay ko. I’ve never been this happy for a long time. Kaya goodvibes na lang tayo. Love, love, love!”
Madam Aivan and Madam Ely both made names on the Internet through the help of the late Lloyd Cadena.
Cadena is a staunch supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Meanwhile, in a YouTube video uploaded on May 14, Madam Ely clarified the statements he made regarding the Angat Buhay NGO which stirred social media.
“Ganito na lang… we’re talking about the pasasalamat ni VP Leni and I have mentioned some statements na nagreact kayong lahat. Statements that was very defensive of the possibilities na mangyayari.”
He then apologized for misrepresenting the planned NGO as something different, which caused the Kakampink netizens to react “violently.”
“For that, I am sorry kung feeling nyo namisrepresent ko s’ya and I assume that it’s gonna be something different. So I hope you also accept my apologies for that mistake.”
Madam Ely also added that he admired VP Leni’s intention to create the largest volunteer network in the country.
“In the spirit of fairness and in the hope of sparking change and fostering the spirit of bayanihan…. so I admire also the call for the biggest volunteer network. Actually meron na yan eh before yung “i-Volunteer”… And they’ve been active before hindi ko lang alam kung ano nang nangyayari sa kanila but then if this will be coming from VP Leni and the organization na gagawin nya, sabi with the biggest network of volunteers then this will be good kasi nakita ko naman how it worked before and it really worked well and it was very effective.
“I maybe wrong thinking ill about the NGO… hindi pa kasi natin alam, wala pang details. Kagaya nang hindi din namin pa alam if the Marcos-Duterte government will also live up to their expectations. Kaya we’re also on the look out kahit na supported namin sila we’re also on the look out because what we want from this is good governance.”
