The actress and hostess’s return to the Kapamilya noontime show came more than two years since she took a maternal break.
Online viewers shot up to a record-breaking level for It’s Showtime on Saturday, May 28, as the show welcomed back its long-time host, Anne Curtis. The actress took a leave from the show in late 2019 to focus on her pregnancy and early stage of motherhood.
The massive attention the show received on that day, is more than enough proof of the madlang pipol‘s excitement about the actress and hostess’s comeback to the noon-time show.
On Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube, concurrent live viewers peaked at 73,000 during her welcome performance. That’s already the highest that the show achieved on the platform. Also on YouTube, concurrent live viewers for Showtime Online U, which also streams a live feed of the show, reached 48,000. On Facebook live feed for the show drew as much as more than 20,000 live viewers. That brings the total live viewers of the show on YouTube, to 141,000, the highest so far for any noon-time show.
On twitter, the show’s official hashtag, #ANNEditoNaSya, peaked at number 1 on the local trends and reached the worldwide trending chart.

She was expected to return earlier this year, but got delayed due to the pandemic concerns. A teaser plug about her comeback excited netizens a day earlier, with many fans expressing their anticipation.
