On April 19, Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemate and Philippine Idol Singer Anji Salvacion recalled the career advices she received from Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10 Housemates.
During the media conference for Feels: The Concert, Salvacion detailed the advice from Volleyball Player Alyssa Valdez.
“What she told me lang is to make the bashers or the negativity as noise. Those noises make them your stepping stone towards achieving your dreams.”
She also shared the advice she received from Samantha Bernardo.
“From Ate Sam na she told me, Anji, magpapakatotoo ka lang sa sarili kasi in this industry mahirap talaga. Kasi once you’re true and once you just be yourself lang hindi ka mahihirapan and you don’t have to please people.”
Finally, she revealed the advice she received from Kuya himself about loving herself.
“From Kuya, kasi in this industry din and this career that I’m taking right now, mahirap din, especially if you don’t love yourself. And he told me, dapat mahalin mo talaga ‘yung sarili mo, kasi if you don’t yourself, ikaw lang ‘yung mahihirapan and it would be hard for you to give that care and love to others.”
Aside from her fellow PBB Housemates, Salvacion also received valuable advice from the concert king himself, Martin Nievera.
“Don’t go daw, or don’t take something that you don’t love kasi mapapagod ka. So grabe ‘yun tumatak ‘yun sa isip ko. Na, ‘Oh you should really do something na you love. Kasi in the long run hindi ka mapapagod. That was a very good career advice that I received.”
Her Mom and Dad also gave her career advice, centering on perseverance and not giving up.
“First, my Dad told me to never give up–never give to the things that you do love and the things that you love.
“And second naman ‘yung sa Mom ko, perseverance, always have perseverance, hardwork, and determination kasi maabot at maabot mo talaga mga pangarap mo if you have this.”
