Some theatre actors surprised residents of Krus na Ligas in Quezon City when they performed a flash mob to campaign for the tandem of VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
In the video posted by theatre actress Ms. Celeste Legazpi on her facebook page on Friday, April 8, the flash mob started with ’80s icon Kuya Bodjie Pascua shouting lines from the classic anthem of the People Power Revolution in 1986– Handog ng Pilipino sa Mundo.
He was then followed by Mitch Valdez and Pinky Marquez who started singing the renowned EDSA People Power song.
Thereafter other theatre actors disguised as bystanders and ordinary folks joined in singing the people power anthem.
After Handog Ng Pilipino Sa Mundo, they danced to the Leni campaign jingle Kay Leni Tayo.
Meanwhile, theatre actor Audie Gemora shared the backstory of the flash mob.
In a video he uploaded on his facebook page also on April 8, Gemora shared the preparation that they went through before performing the actual flash mob.
According to him, they were able to gather Theatre for Leni volunteers and practice the performance in just a day.
After the flash mob, they joined other Leni-Kiko volunteers in doing house to house campaign.
He also encouraged other people to do their version of flash mob and join house to house campaign for Leni and Kiko.
