On Wednesday, April 27, Bulakeños tripled the size of the first people’s rally held by the Leni-Kiko tandem via Republika Dos, which gathered more than 140,000 people in attendance, according to local organizers.
Vice President and presidentiable Leni Robredo, sans Senator and vice-presidential bet, Kiko Pangilinan attracted a colossal crowd which is more than three times the size of the Leni-Kiko rally in March. Pangilinan campaigned separately in the cities of Malabon and Manila.

Since the campaign season started in February, Republica Dos now ranked third in attendance among the mammoth provincial people’s rallies of the Leni-Kiko tandem, with the record-setting Pasay birthday rally still sitting on the chart as the most-attended Tropang Angat event.
Nadine Lustre, who also attended the Pampanga people’s rally on April 9, went onstage to perform in front of the energetic Bulakeños.
A surprise appearance and greeting made the Kakampinks, whom she addressed as ‘Madlang Pink-pol’ roar. The Kapamilya comedian-host once again reiterated how important the people’s decision to support VP Robredo was.
“Kapag sinulat natin ang pangalang Robredo sa balota, tayong lahat ang mananalo.Panahon na para tayo naman—kayo naman, ang manalo. Matagal na tayong talunan…panahon na para manalo (If we write Robredo’s name on the ballot, we all win. It is about time for us—for you, especially you, to win. We’ve been losing for a very long time. It’s time to win)” he said, echoing the statement he delivered during the Pasay rally.

Vice Ganda, explained onstage that he was part of the program and was just there to support VP Robredo.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando was present during the event and pledged his support for the Leni-Kiko tandem in February. In a speech, he introduced VP Robredo as his President ‘Ang Presidente ko…” to the ecstatic Bulakeño crowd.
Bulacan is the fifth biggest province in terms of voting population size. Fernando’s support and the swelling Kakampink support network in the province will be proven crucial to Leni-Kiko’s victory in the 2022 polls.
