The ‘90s OPM rock band–Rivermaya and the Philippine Pop Rock Superstar–Yeng Constantino collaborated for the reimagination of the former’s iconic track, Liwanag Sa Dilim. The song is one of the campaign anthems of the Leni-Kiko presidential bid.
Pinoy rock band Rivermaya and Kapamilya recording star Yeng Constantino released their new version of the 2000s rock anthem, Liwanag sa Dilim.
The move is part of the ongoing campaign for the presidential campaign of Vice President Leni Robredo and the vice-presidential bid of Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan. Both Rivermaya and Yeng Constantino,Constantino with Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin posted the video on their respective social media accounts.
Constantino previously sang her version of the song in one of the Leni-Kiko grand rallies. She was the grand winner of the ABS-CBN reality-talent show Pinoy Dream Academy in 2007. Meanwhile, the ‘90s rock band Rivermaya regularly played it as the closing song.

In the music video, volunteer personalities and groups gathered to affirm their support for Robredo and Pangilinan.
Celebrities like Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual shared motivational one-liners.
“Naniniwala ako na mas maraming bagay na nagbubuklod sa atin kesa sa ating pagkakaiba (I believe that there are more things that unite us, than our differences),” Pascual shared.
Aika Robredo, one of VP Robredo’s daughters, also made an appearance in the music video.
“Dapat hindi ito mga pangarap lang (These dreams should not end as just dreams)” she reiterated, noting the many dreams, including food, job, justice, and education, Filipinos aspire to come true.
Volunteer individuals from various sectors, including persons with disabilities (PWDs), LGBTQIA+, public transport sector, medical and health frontliners, and economic frontliners, also made a rare appearance and plea on the video.
On twitter, the hashtag #LeniLiwanagSaDilim peaked at no.2 among the most trending topics nationwide.
