On April 7, radio broadcast journalist and TV news anchor Ted Failon urged Filipinos to get things right when voting in the 2022 elections.
During his radio show Ted Failon at DJ Chacha sa Radyo5, Failon warned the public about what would happen if Filipinos vote incorrectly.
“Kapag po tayo nagkamali, anim na taon po nanaman ang dadanasin nating hirap. Anim na taon nanaman pong pamamayagpag ng mga magnanakaw sa gobyerno–mga mapagsamantala. Anim na taon, wag po tayo padadala sa kasinungalingan.”
He then expressed support for the Bayad Buwis Movement.
“Kayo po ay magpamiyembro sa BBM. Bayad Buwis Movement.”

Before they got to their discussion about voting wisely for the 2022 elections, Failon was voicing his thoughts about the recent news regarding the crackdown on smuggled agricultural goods.
His diatribe then led to urging people to put the right people in power to prevent the cycle of corruption.
Celebrities Vivian Velez, Rez Cortez, and other artists joined the launch of the Bayad Buwis Movement on March 31, wherein they took jabs at the politicians who do not pay their taxes.
As for Failon, he joined TV5 in 2020 after ABS-CBN shutdown and the broadcast of the Network’s radio department DZMM halted.
