Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano slammed the UniTeam who recently held a rally in the city.
Led by presidential and vice-presidential candidates Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte-Carpio, the UniTeam held their campaign rally at the Arca South in Western Bicutan on Sunday, April 24.
Aside from its senatorial slates the rally was also attended by celebrities like Ai-Ai delas Alas, Randy Santiago and Bayani Agbayani.
In a series of Instagram stories on April 24, Cayetano blasted the UniTeam campaign that endorsed the Cayetanos’ rivals in Taguig.
In one of his posts featuring a screenshot of Senatorial candidate Larry Gadon asking the crowd to vote for Arnel Cerafica, Cayetano said, “UniTeam in Taguig tonight sowing division.”
The Taguig Mayor also scored the celebrities present at the event.
In his succeeding post, Cayetano shared a screenshot of delas Alas, Agbayani, and Santiago on stage also campaigning for the Ceraficas.
In the caption, Lino said, “UniTeam in Taguig. At mga artista na dayo pero nangangampanya sa Taguig para sa mga taong di nila kilala.”
The Cayetanos are members of the Nacionalista Party (NP).
Although NP has already endorsed the UniTeam, Lino endorsed Manila Mayor Isko Moreno for President.
Taguig-Pateros 1st District Representative and Independent Senatorial candidate Alan Peter Cayetano meanwhile has yet to publicly endorse anyone for President and Vice President.
His wife, Taguig-Pateros 2nd District Congresswoman and Mayoralty candidate Lani Cayetano also has yet to declare support for any candidate.
