On April 21, Kapamilya seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez clarified her involvement with the digital series Misis Piggy after announcing her hiatus from teleseryes.
During the media conference for ABS-CBN’s early mother’s day offering, Sanchez explained that she agreed to the project before deciding on her hiatus from teleseryes.
“So habang ginagawa ko ‘yun pa-ending, nagsabi ako na after nito what’s next na serye. So natawag na sa akin ‘to.”
She added that she plans to take a break from teleseryes until 2023.
“Mas nauna ‘to kesa doon sa nag-decide akong magpapahinga pero gusto kong magpahinga muna–serye. So tinapos ko lang muna ‘to pero after nito, sabi ko nga kay Ria, ‘Ria ikaw na diyan. Pahinga naman ako the whole year. So next year naman ako–serye lang.'”
Sanchez then stated that she needed to take the rest since she has had several heavy drama projects in recent years.
“Oo pahinga muna ako, kailangan kong tanggalin–kasi after Greatest Love sunod-sunod eh.
In October 2021, Sanchez announced her hiatus from teleseryes after working on the role of Barang in Huwag Kang Mangamba.
As for her digital series, Misis Piggy stars Sylvia Sanchez, Ria Atayde, Iana Bernardez, Elijah Canlas, Ricky Davao, Rubi Rubi, and Fino Herrera.
