On April 6, media network SMNI reacted to the allegations of fake news peddling and red-tagging thrown against them.
In a post on the Media Network’s twitter account, they refuted the claims against them by deflecting the issue towards their detractors, calling them NPA-lover, oligarch-lover, and illegal drugs-lover.

They also declared that they side with the truth and development, claiming that they are the ‘true voice’ of the public.

Earlier, facebook tagged SMNI’s page for violating its community standards.
The church broadcasting arm of pastor Apollo Quiboloy gained a reputation for posting misinformation and making online attacks against media outlets and personalities critical of President Rodrigo Duterte.
Aside from the incidents of misinformation, netizens also questioned SMNI’s credibility for their staged Senatorial Debate.
