Robin Padilla said he is different from other senatorial candidates in an interview with Boy Abunda on April 8, Friday.
On why he chose to run as a senator, Padilla said he wanted to bring change that he always hoped for.
He said, “Nagsawa na rin ako na dadating yung pagbabagong hinihintay ko. Tinanggap ko na yung hamon. Ako na mismo ang lalangoy sa dagat.”
Unlike others, Padilla said he wanted to change the Philippines’ form of government from a unitary presidential government into a federal form of government.
Yun ang ipinangako nila,” he shared.
Padilla discussed the advantages of adopting Federalism in the country by minimizing corruption and allowing the different provinces and regions to flourish.
The actor thinks that this will lead to better lives for normal Filipinos.
