Comedienne-actress Pokwang cries foul over the alleged apprehension of transportation services carrying Leni-Kiko supporters in Pangasinan.
Reports circulated that Land Transportation Office (LTO) personnel of Pangasinan prohibited the Leni-Kiko supporters from attending the #TalindegPangasinan People’s Rally on April 8 in Dagupan.
.
A video of the alleged apprehension and alighting of passengers from the vehicles went viral online, causing ‘Kakampinks,’ including Pokwang, to be enraged.
The video was shared first by Pokwang’s friend, Ogie Diaz, who believed the supporters got harassed.
Pokwang seconded this and retweeted Diaz’s statement. She expressed her vexation over the issue and questioned the reason behind the alleged apprehension.

According to LTO, the supporters were ‘out-of-line.’
Nonetheless, LTO Regional Director Atty. Teofilo Guadiz III ordered the suspension of the apprehension of the vehicles until night.
“Hanggang tonight wala nang apprehension. Pero bukas kapag may out of line, huli,” he said.
Pangasinan belongs to ‘Solid North,’ where Leni Robredo lost by more than half a million votes to her rival Bongbong Marcos, during the Vice Presidential race in 2016.
Despite claims that buses and jeepneys carrying supporters were blocked from entering the campaign venue, local emergency officials reported an estimated 76,000 attendees to the rally.
With that, Robredo said during her speech, “Gustong sabihin, desididong desidido kahit nahihirapan, aandito pa din. Ito po ‘yung tunay na pagmamahal sa bayan, na kahit nahihirapan, sige pa din.”
