Ai-Ai delas Alas announced that she will be supporting the presidential aspirant and former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice-presidential aspirant and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte in the upcoming national 2022 elections.
During a miting de avance for the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) on Friday, April 1, Delas Alas declared her support for the UniTeam alliance.
“Binabati ko po ang lahat ng OFW sa lahat ng sulok ng mundo na ngayon ay nanonood at buong-pusong sumusuporta sa tambalang UniTeam BBM at Sara.
“Sana kayo ay nasa mabuting kalagayan, kung saan man po kayo naroroon na nag-e-enjoy sa inyong pagtitipon at sa ating watch parties.
“Ako po ngayon ay naimbitahan upang magbigay po sa inyo ng munting mensahe dahil bukod po sa ako ay tagasuporta ng UniTeam, ako rin po ay may pusong OFW.”
Delas Alas explained that she has a heart of an OFW, saying that she understands their longing for being far away from their families.
On March 10, after being included in the female celebrities who dressed in pink as a show of support to presidential candidate VP Leni Robredo, Delas Alas clarified that she is not supporting the former via Instagram.
“Utang na loob, NANAHIMIK AKO. Huwag niyo akong masala-sali sa mga ganito. Tahimik buhay ko. Lahat na lang. Huy! #panahonpanimatusalemangpicturenayan #iwantpeace #iwantunity #silenceisdeadly,” she captioned.
