The lead star of two of the highest-grossing Filipino films of all time (Hello, Love Goodbye and The Hows of Us), officially endorsed Robredo and Pangilinan as her presidential and vice-presidential bets in the 2022 national polls.

The queen has spoken. Kapamilya star and new generation movie queen Kathryn Bernardo released a video on April 23, where she officially pledged her support for the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo. At 6:20 pm, the video was released and featured the 26-year-old actress articulating her reasons why she chose the Leni-Kiko tandem.
The Kapamilya actress underscored the Filipino people need the right leader for them to make whatever plans they have, work.
“Paano mo ipaplano ang kinabukasan, kung mas kailangan na iraos ang ngayon (How can you plan for your tomorrow, if there is a greater need to navigate today)? she asked.
“Ang hirap isipin ng kinabukasan kung ang tiyan, kumakalam (It’s difficult to plan the future, with an empty stomach)” she added. She then went on to asking “Siguro mas madaling magplano kung may maasahan kang subok na—masasandalang lider na handang iangat tayo sa lahat ng krisis (don’t you think it is easier to plan if there is someone reliable to accompany you? a leader who is always ready to assist us in every crisis)?”
Bernardo believes that that leader is VP Leni Robredo., describing her as a “Isang lider na ilang beses nang ipinakita ang pagmamahal para sa mga taong dehado… isang lider na tutulong sa kanila at tutuparin ang kanyang pangako. Isang kakampi sa pagharap sa hamon ng buhay (A leader who have shown many times her love for the disadvantaged…a leader who is prepared to help them, to fulfill their promises for them. An ally to help us deal with life’s challenges).”
The actress is confident that our dreams as Filipinos and as a nation will be possible under the stewardship of Robredo.
“Kaya ang plano ko sa May 9…ipanalo si Robredo sa pagkapangulo (That’s why my plan on May 9, is to make Leni Robredo win as President).”
Bernardo’s endorsement coincided with the massive gathering of Kakampinks at Macapagal Boulevard in Pasay City, where the Leni-Kiko tandem held their colossal A10 Ang Araw Na ‘To people’s rally, which saw the biggest crowd their campaign has so far seen. According to authorities, more than 200,000 flocked to the event, beating the record set by the Pampanga rally last month.
Bernardo’s onscreen and real-life sweetheart, Daniel Padilla, also pledged his support for her presidential and vice-presidential bets.
