Mika Salamanca called out Darryl Yap for lack of basic human decency after the latter gave a negative comment on the former over a fake facebook page.
On March 28, via a facebook post, Salamanca detailed how Yap became a victim of fake news.
A facebook page that used Salamanca’s handle and profile conducted an informal political survey.
“Tingnan nga natin mga mosh, kung sinong mananalo pupuuntahan ko ang grand rally,” the account posted.
“Mukhang magpa-practice na ako ng ‘bagong Pilipino, bagong mukha’,” the account added in the comment section.
“Magpa-praktis ka pa? Eh nagpabago ka na ng mukha,” Yap replied to the fake account.
“When I hosted in Camanava, I already prepared myself for the backlash that I might receive. But isn’t this just too much? Why does this page keep pretending to be me and why do people believe this BS? I was in the rally because obviously I know where I stand in this,” Salamanca posted with screenshots of the fake facebook page’s post.
“Why do they have to use my name to post stupid things like this? Personal attacks, I can take. But using my name to spread fake news? Especially on such an important matter? Just stop. Such a low blow.”
Salamanca called out the misogynistic remark of Yap.
“And to Darryl Yap, take your misogynistic ass away from me. The bar is already low but didn’t expect you to lack basic human decency too lol.”
In the comment section, Yap apologized for being harsh and impulsive.
“Hi Mika, I apologize. That same account commented derogatory words on my wall. People prompted me and I reacted hastily.
“My comment was very impulsive and harsh,” he posted.
