Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila and Megastar Sharon Cuneta both reacted to the incident that happened at the Power Plant Mall brought about by socialite Cat Arambulo-Antonio’s invitation to BBM supporters.
In a facebook post on Tuesday, April 26, Arambulo-Antonio shared a UniTeam poster encouraging fellow BBM-Sara Duterte supporters to go to the Powerplant Mall on April 28 and wear their signature red shirts.
Rockwell Center has been a Kakampink turf for quite a while so Arambulo thought of making BBM supporters’ presence felt there.
However, tensions erupted when supporters of both camps clashed on the lower ground floor. Both camps compete in chanting “Leni” and “BBM” causing the guards to pacify the moment.
Following the tension at the Rockwell Center, ABS-CBN broadcast journalist took to twitter to share her reaction.
In a tweet, Karen Davila said it could have been a perfect opportunity for both camps to practice what their campaigns are espousing.
“This would have been the perfect oportunity for supporters to practice what their candidates advocate – “unity & radikal na pagmamahal” mas touching kung nag-batian sila, nagyakapan. Maiba lang diba?”

Meanwhile, Cuneta seemed unaware of the tension that happened in Rockwell Center.
On her Instagram page, the Megastar happily shared a video clip of Kakampinks who trooped to the Power Plant Mall on Thursday, April 28.
In her post, Sharon said seeing the pink crowd in Power Plan Mall made her feel like going to the mall and showing support to the Kakampinks, who tirelessly campaigned for the Leni-Kiko tandem, also, to the Lopezes, who owned Rockwell Center.
“The mall is so festive today, masaya lang kami dito… maraming naka PINK.
“Para tuloy gusto ko mag-shopping sa Power Plant Mall today! Aba’y pag-aari kaya ng ABS-CBN bosses kong mga Lopez yan at ang buong Rockwell. I want to show my support for LENI-KIKO too! At mga Lopez din.”

Meanwhile, following the incident Rockwell management assured the public that they will continue to make the mall a safe space for everyone
In a text message to PhilSTAR L!fe, Rockwell Center said their priority remains to be the comfort and security of their customers.
“Several individuals earlier today at Power Plant Mall showed support for their presidential candidates. Their intent has only come to our attention the past few days due to social media posts,” they said.
“While the company does not endorse a specific candidate, we encourage everyone to vote with great thought and responsibility.”
“Just as we did earlier, our priority remains to be the comfort, security and safety of our customers, and we will continue to ensure this in our community.”
