On April 8, ShowBT Pinoy Pop Girl Group KAIA shared what made their girl group stand out from other PPop artists.
During the media conference for their launch of Blah, Blah, KAIA Angela said they have their own stories and styles to share with their listeners.
“Lahat po ng PPop groups po have their own style and their own way of translating the message to the people to the audience, pero KAIA po have their own story. Each of us has different stories that we want to translate for people. And gusto po namin na ‘yung music po namin has a story to tell and to inspire people po.”
She clarified that they aren’t competing with other PPop groups.
“We’re not competing with other groups po. We’re here to help each other po na ma-reach po ‘yung goal po natin na makilala pa ‘yung music natin dito sa Philippines.”
KAIA Sophia added that they use their struggles as inspiration in making music.
“Our music is about telling our own story. So all of these struggles–we don’t take them as a struggle. We take them as inspiration to write music and to share with other people as well.”
KAIA Charlotte also declared that they want to try different music genres as artists.
“Of course po, music is always evolving so hindi po namin kinukulong ‘yung concept, ‘yung genre na gusto namin ma-try marami po kasing possibilities so we are up for it po.”
KAIA Charice attested to their group’s commitment to each other when facing challenges.
“Iba-iba rin po kami ng kinalakihan po so iba-iba rin po kami ng personalities, pero super lucky po ako as a member ng KAIA kasi po nakikita ko po na talagang nag-aadjust po sila para sa isa’t isa.Â
“Nakikita ko po talaga ‘yung best po namin na talagang na hindi po maging narrowminded sa mga bagay-bagay na pwede pa naming–at pwede pa po naming maharap na problems.”
Earlier, ShowBT Philippines, the management handling SB19, launched their first-ever in-house P-pop girl group named KAIA. Their members include Angela, Charlotte, Charice, Alexa, and Sophia.Â
The group dropped the music video for their most recent single, ‘Blah, Blah,’ on April 8.
