On Thursday, April 7, Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose admitted she has mixed feelings now that her Limitless, A Musical Trilogy is on its last and final leg.
In the virtual media conference for her upcoming Limitless: Rise concert, San Jose said, “Ang daming feelings eh, hahaha. Halu-halo ang feeling eh. But for me, siguro ang pinaka-nafi-feel ko right now, medyo ano siya, like of course bittersweet.”
The last part of the event had her realize that “time really flies fast when you’re having fun.”
“Kasi looking back sa mga previous legs, parang kailan lang nag-start yung shoot namin; like parang kailan lang kami nagbe-brainstorm kung anong gagawin namin—like we did not know yet what exactly we’re doing. Parang everything else follows eh,” she explained.
Despite the final installment of Limitless that began recently, San Jose was already feeling nostalgic.
“Kaya nakaka-miss ngayon pa lang kahit na hindi pa natatapos yung third part. S’yempre, exciting times ahead din because this is just only the beginning of something really great for all of us.
“We all felt like we’ve all grown from this, and we’ve all needed this.”
However, the singer hopes that she can do yet another concert—in a bigger venue. Referring to Limitless executive producer and GMA Regional TV and Synergy First Vice President and Head Oliver Victor Amoroso, she jest, “Hopefully, another concert. Sana, sana sa bigger venue, sir Ollie! Hahaha!”
Realizations after doing the concert.
Amoroso shared what he learned after doing the musical. He learned two things: the Philippines’ beauty and the uniqueness of San Jose.
“First, napakaganda talaga ng Pilipinas. Yung sinasabi nga ni Julie at ng aking ka-co producer na si Ms. Darlyn De Jesus, hindi yung destination eh, but it’s always the journey.
“Contrasting, pero lahat maganda if you can just look at it in a different way.
“Pangalawa, si Julie.
“Dito ko nakita kung gaano talaga siya kagaling na isang multi-instrumentalist. Bigay mo sa kanya ang isang intsrumento, kaya niyang tugtugin after a few minutes. Nandoon ang talent na hindi lahat nabibigyan nang ganoong blessing,” he explained.
The singer-actress then added that it made her even more grateful and more open to new things.
“One thing is being grateful sa buhay na ipinagkaloob sa atin. Kasi kumbaga paggising nga lang natin sa umaga sobrang blessing na po nun. Kaya we need to remind ourselves that we should be grateful for life and s’yempre sa mga tao na nakapaligid sa’yo, nagmamahal sa’yo, sumusuporta sa’yo.
“Then yung second naman po is, discover new things. Never be afraid of trying new things and exploring, and innovating.
“Kasi this will lead you to excellence. We need to have vision and action and keep your core values intact to be able to achieve that.”
Julie, as an introvert.
San Jose admitted that she had a hard time expressing her feelings due to being an introvert. But after doing the trilogy, she now slowly opens herself up as an artist and a singer.
“Through Limitless, mas naging bukas po talaga ako. Kumbaga may mga bagay na unti-unting na-unfold and of course, may mas marami pa akong mga bagay na na-discover sa sarili ko.”
In Limitless: Breathe, the singer admitted that it made her feel “ready,” while in Limitless: Heal, she faced her fears.
She is more inspired to perform in the last leg of her three-part concert, stressing that she was grateful for the opportunity.
“Mas nadadagdagan lang ang inspiration ko each passing day because of course, there are many things to be grateful for. Sometimes kasi we look for things that are not there. But actually, if you look around, you just start to appreciate people, appreciate life, and especially those people around you.”
Currently, the singer-actress has her heart in a happy place.
“Wala na po ‘yon. I’m in a good place now. I’m very happy.”
Limitless, A Musical Trilogy was streamed virtually on April 9 and 10.
