GMA Network teased its viewers that a movie production firm will soon make its way to their channel, Friday, April 1.
“Ang mga pelikulang napapanood sa GMA, madadagdagan! Ang dating imposible, mangyayari na!” teased the Kapuso Network.
Speculations led to Star Cinema, ABS-CBN’s film distributor.
In the line “The start of a new age of television” in the trailer released, the “star” was highlighted.
Furthermore, it is a surprise, provided that ABS-CBN and GMA Network have competed even if the former lost its franchise license.
Netizens had mixed reactions regarding the huge chance that it could be Star Cinema.
“Legit siguro to. Tignan nyo yung word na START sa pic nakabold yung word na STAR. Watch nyo din po yung teaser nila Star agad mapapansin nyo.

“Maaaring maipalabas, kasi maraming pelikula from VIVA ay co-prod ay STAR CINEMA,” pointed out a netizen.
Another hoped that it could be the “STARt” of a new Philippine entertainment era.
“Maybe this would be the STARt of the improvement of Philippine Entertainment. NO EXCLUSIVE ARTISTS. NO NETWORK WAR. QUALITY MOVIES AND SERIES.
