Three out of the Top 5 Most-Watched programs came from GMA Network, while two are from ABS-CBN.
Kapuso shows 24 Oras, First Lady, Widow’s Web, and Kapamilya programs FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and The Broken Marriage Vow are consistent in their respective positions in the Top 5 list of the AGB Nielsen rating chart from March 28 to April 1.
24 Oras, the flagship Kapuso news show, leads free TV programs. On March 28, it earned a 15.6% rating, but its rating decreased by 0.1% the following day. It again dropped to a 15.0% rating on March 30 but recovered to 15.4%. However, on April 1, it plummeted to a 14.5% rating.
Despite its fluctuating ratings, 24 Oras is consistent in the #1 spot on the leaderboards.
The Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez-starrer series First Lady is #2 in the chart and the Most-Watched drama. On Monday, it earned a 13.7% rating and dropped by 0.5% the next day. It continued to drop to 12.8% on Wednesday but recovered with a 13.2% rating the following day. It ended the week with a 13.1% rating.
The Most-Watched Kapamilya program FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is constant in the #3 spot. On March 28, the Coco Martin-starrer scored 10.4% but decreased by 0.3% the next day. On March 30 and March 31, it improved its rating to 10.5% and 10.8%, respectively. Its rating continued to improve until Friday, when it earned an 11.2% rating.
The first Kapuso suspenserye Widow’s Web also secured the #4 spot the whole week. It earned 9.6% on Monday and improved to 10.0% the next day. It continued to improve its rating to 10.2% on March 30 and 10.5% on March 31. However, it dropped to 10.2% as the week ended.
Another Kapamilya program, The Broken Marriage Vow, completes the Top 5 list. On Monday, it recorded a 7.5% rating and increased by 0.1% the next day. It dropped to 7.3% on Wednesday but improved to 8.0% on Thursday. However, the week ended for The Broken Marriage Vow with a lower rating of 7.8%.
These programs have secured their respective spots in the rating chart. With an almost fair distribution of the number of programs per network, the competition in free TV remains tough despite the wide audience reach gap.
