On Monday, April 4, up-and-coming sexy star Cloe Barreto was overwhelmed with emotions as she attended the story conference of Tahan.
The movie is her second lead role since the 2021 sexy film Silab.
“Thank you po sa lahat ng pumunta, sa buong production po, sa producer po namin na walang sawang pagbigay ng tiwala sa’kin, sa kakayahan ko,” cried Barreto.
She also thanked Quinn Carrillo, her co-actor in the movie and its screenwriter.
“Kasi sinusulat niya palang tinawagan niya ako agad na sabi niya ay bagay sa’yo ito, sabi ko, ‘sige gawin ko na, tapusin ko na, gusto ko na umarte.'”
She will be working alongside JC Santos and award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose in this psycho-thriller film.
The sexy star, covered in tears, added, “Sa mga bago ko pong makakasama, Ms. Jaclyn Jose po na sobrang idol ko po, at kay JC Santos, si Karl (Medina) po, sobrang thank you po sa opportunity po na ito.”
Barreto then tried to make the mood lighter as she punned, “Sana po abangan niyo yung Tahan kasi tatahan na po ako ngayon.”
She will be playing Elisse, a prostitute whose craving is the flesh of men. This second lead role also had her diving deep into her emotions, although she never experienced her character’s situation.
“Pero meron din po kasi akong mga pinagdaanan before na puwede kong i-apply sa Tahan, kaya po siguro naisip ako ni Quinn Carrillo dito po sa project na ito.
“Fifteen years old pa lang po ako, e, nag-work na po ako, sumali na po ako sa pageant, ganun po, modeling.
“Puwede ko po yung i-apply sa karakter ko dito. Kasi, eleven years old naman nag-work si Elisse.”
Meanwhile, Barreto’s passion for acting says she has no problems doing daring roles.
“Ano po kasi, ano pinakagusto ko sa ginagawa ko, parang masaya po kasi ako pag umaarte ako eh. Di ko po maano kung bakit pero masaya po talaga ako pag umaarte.”
But if given a chance, the sexy star also aspires to do an action film someday.
“Maging isang action star. Wow? Na may sexy pa din po kasi doon po tayo makikilala eh.”
She added, “Gusto ko po yung mga tuma-tumbling-tumbling, split, split.”
The cast also includes Karl Medina, AJ Oteyza, Mac Cardona, Mercedes Cabral, EJ Salamante, Joseph San Jose, and Stiff Banzon.
Tahan is under the direction of Bobby Florencio Jr.
