On April 19, Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemate and Philippine Idol Singer Anji Salvacion admitted she wanted to stop being a singer during the pandemic and ABS-CBN shutdown.
During the media conference for Feels: The Concert, Salvacion recalled almost turning her back on the entertainment industry.
“That was during the pandemic–when the pandemic happened and the when the franchise was closed. And the second time that I [doubted] myself when I was about to go home, everything was tearing apart. I’ve gone such challenge in life. What I could say na lang, almost–almost, it got me to a point where I wanted to stop.”
She then thanked God for making her realize about staying in the showbiz industry.
“But at the end of the day, I wanted to thank God na hinimasmasan niya ako. He gave me talaga a sign na you should stay.”
As for her career path, Salvacion said she trusts ABS-CBN Management’s decision.
“I trust the management, and I know hindi ako pababayaan ng ABS-CBN, and I trust them. And whatever they’ll give me, I’ll do it kasi it’s an opportunity and a blessing.”
However, she expressed her hopes of becoming an international artist.
“One of my biggest dreams din talaga is to be able to perform din internationally or to be an international artist.”
As for her Feels: The Concert, she hinted about her music event having a Siargao vibe.
“I want to put a part of my home in very first concert, kasi Siargao is where I grew up and doon bumuo ng family ‘yung parents ko.”
Salvacion also hoped to have a number with her family in her online concert.
“I wanted to bring my whole family sa concert ko and I wanted to sing with them all in that special prod number. Kasi special na sa akin ‘yung concert sa akin, mas magiging special pa kapag kasama ko sila.”
Salvacion assured fans with a full-on concert vibe with her Feels: The Concert, streaming live on April 30 (Saturday), 8 PM via KTX.ph.
