On March 31, Kapamilya artist Albie Casiño admitted that he hadn’t moved on from his previous relationship in 2019.
During the media conference for How To Move On in 30 Days, Casiño said he isn’t ready to be in a new relationship because of his last girlfriend.
“‘Yung last relationship ko was 2019 pa pero hindi ko alam kung totally naka-move on na ako doon. Kasi parang hindi pa ako ready magka-girl friend ulit eh.
“She’s a beauty queen now. She’s out doing the Miss Intercontinental thing.
“Ako matagal akong mag-move on talaga. So thirty days imposible sa akin ‘yung thirty days.”
He then shared details about his more intense breakups with former actress Andi Eigenmann.
“Hindi mo talaga masasabing parang break up lang talaga ‘yun eh. Kasi that’s more of like, iskandalo ‘yun eh. Di lang din break ‘yun. So ibang-iba ‘yung process non sa paano ka mag-move on sa relationship, because I had to figure out how I was going to move on from my life after that. So I can’t compare that to the series.”
He clarified that he didn’t have time to process his heartbreak because of the beatings he received after their breakup.
“Noong time din na ‘yun parang first relationship ko ‘yun eh. So wala pa talaga akong alam I really didn’t know what was going on. Noong time na ‘yun, wala akong time na parang masaktan ‘yung puso ko because there was too much going on in the news and everything na it has taken away my attention from the heartache kumbaga.
“So medyo hindi ko talaga naramdaman ‘yung sakit sa puso. Paano po eh, ginulpi na nga ako eh. Ginulpi na nga ako tapos puso ko pa ‘yung masakit, so siyempre noong nagulpi na ako wala na. That was a totally different situation sa regular break up ng ex mo or something.”
In 2011, Casiño and Eigenmann broke up after three years of being in a relationship. After the breakup, Eigenmann accused Casiño of being abusive and fathering her first child. The rumors led to Casiño getting beat up by four men in 2012.
He then cited his relationship with Dawn Jimenez, confessing that it affected him emotionally.
“After that, I dated Dawn Balagot, who’s /also an artista. Her name is Dawn Jimenez pala, stage name–she was On The Job with Gerald Anderson. We broke up that was a– doon medyo nadurog din ako doon. Pero, that one took a lot longer for me to get over.
“Pero ‘yung kay Andi, I was basically over that the next day kasi there were so many things going on that I can’t concentrate on a broken heart now.”
He then continued that he didn’t want to forget the people who became a part of his life.
“Never ko naman siguro iwi-wish na makakalimot ako ng tao kasi kahit anong–every one who has been a part of my life, nakadagdag sila sa experiences ko sa buhay. Nakatulong din sila sa akin ng grabe, they were able to teach me things. I’d always be grateful to everyone who has been a part of my life.”
He then alluded to his routine in moving on.
“Pero nagkakaroon ako ng time na sana makalimutan ko na ‘to or sana maka-move on na ako in thirty days talagang–especially the first day after a break up di ba? Nakahiga ka lang sa kama, nagpa-play ka lang ng sad songs. Tapos alam mo ‘yun, ang sakit, hindi mo malaman kung paano mo matutuloy ‘yung buhay mo. Parang ito na ‘yun katapusan na ng buhay mo.”
He then revealed how he would know if he had already moved on from a previous relationship.
“Masasabi ko siguro na nakapag move on na ako kapag may na-date na ko or kapag may napakilala na akong iba kay Mama. ‘Yun doon ko talaga malalaman talaga na, okay naka-move on na ako, napakilala ko na kay Mama ‘yung new. Doon ko malalaman na ready na ko to be in a relationship.”
Casiño became a PBB housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10, which led to fans of the reality TV show shipping him with Shanaia Gomez.
When asked about the possibility of them working together, Casiño responded that he was open to working with Gomez.
“Masasabi ko siguro na nakapag move on na ako kapag may na-date na ko or kapag may napakilala na akong iba kay Mama. ‘Yun doon ko talaga malalaman talaga na, okay naka-move on na ako, napakilala ko na kay Mama ‘yung new. Doon ko malalaman na ready na ko to be in a relationship.”
