Top-streamed artists Adie, Arthur Nerry, NOBITA, and Skusta Clee, gathered on one stage to serenade Vice Ganda on his 46th birthday celebration on It’s Showtime.
Vice Ganda’s star-studded birthday celebration on It’s Showtime, yesterday, April 2, saw several firsts on Philippine television—at least, since the pandemic started.
For the first time in two years, and since ABS-CBN shutdown, live audiences returned to the studio to witness the live airing of the show. Little Ponies. Vice Ganda’s league of fans, comprised the show’s limited audience, which is a first for any variety show production on local television, since March 2020. It can be recalled that local television came to a halt when the government implemented Luzon-wide lockdown and prohibited big gatherings.

Aside from the greetings, personal and virtual alike, from big stars and personalities, the comedian’s birthday celebration on the show was also graced by some of today’s most in-demand artists. Four of those stars, Arthur Nery, Adie, Skusta Clee, and NOBITA, performed the respective hits songs and sang together to serenade Vice Ganda.
Arthur Nery, who is currently among the top streamed Filipino artists on Spotify, rendered his live version of his hit song ‘Higa’. Skusta Clee, whom Vice Ganda claimed as his best friend, performed his love anthem ‘Lagi’, while Adie was charmed with Paraluman. NOBITA and his band, meanwhile, made Vice’s heart swoon with their ‘Ikaw Lang’ performance. The celebration marked the first time these artists performed together on one stage, as most of them achieved incredible fame during the pandemic. Adie and Arthur Nery, for example, became massively popular through their signature hits, Paraluman and Pagsamo, respectively, which both emerged as among the top streamed tracks on Spotify in 2021.
Vice Ganda’s birthday is capped by the release of his new single ‘Look At Me Now,’ which is composed and written by Itchyworms frontman and It’s Showtime host, Jugs Jugueta. Among the big celebrities who physically greeted the box office star, are the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano, and Angel Locsin. PPOP groups, BGYO and BINI, also took part in an opening prod, which was also joined by the entire hosting cast of It’s Showtime.
