On Wednesday, April 6, making their MNL48’s comeback single No Way Man made the P-Pop group realize that they were each other’s source of strength.
In the virtual media conference of the group, MNL Dana Yzabel Divinagracia shared, “Within that period of time where we had to prepare, obviously may mga times na mada-down kami—our red ocean.”
The “red ocean” was a reference from the line of their latest song which meant hardships and struggles they faced.
She added, “We experienced the red ocean na parang feeling namin kung matutuloy pa ba ‘to, some members already left us, and other behind-the-scenes, tribulation that came upon us.”
The MNL48 member pointed out that the trials were there for a reason: to make them rely on each other.
“Somehow, we have each other. I think I speak for the members when I say that we gather and get our strength from each other.”
One year in the making.
MNL48’s last single was in 2020 when they released River. 2 years after, they have now released No Way Man, and it was a “roller coaster of emotions” for the group.
Member Sheki Arzaga said, “Actually, halu-halo po ang pakiramdam.”
MNL Abby Trinidad, their center girl for No Way Man added, “Mixed emotions po. Na-miss namin…”
However, it was all worth the wait once they released the song.
“We just trusted the process of it. The long wait is over,” stated member Maria Jamie Beatrice Alberto.
The process, which took them one year, had MNL48 become even stronger and more united as a P-Pop group.
“Matagal din namin itong pine-prepare at nadama din namin yung unity, harmony, and eagerness ng bawat isa, and kung gaano namin kamahal ang ginagawa namin, and kung gaano kamahal ang grupo.
“Very hopeful po and optimistic kami sa mga future na mangyayari sa amin and for what is in store for our group,” explained MNL48.
No Way Man, their seventh single, is already available on various streaming platforms since April 1st.
