On March 5, TNT Boys member Keifer Sanchez confirmed that he would be performing solo in the upcoming MAK Musik Festival.
During the media conference for the live music event, Sanchez avoided answering why he would not be performing with his fellow TNT Boys members. However, he stated that he would be performing in multiple events solo.
“I’ll perform solo for some projects and also the music festival. The preprations–I’ve found a lot of songs that are– na mas bagay po sa boses ko ngayon. Kasi po ngayon po is nag-change na po ‘yung voice ko and hindi na po siya–unlike noon po.
“Very hard po, pero nagpa-practice naman po ako for the concert po.”
He then revealed how the pandemic impacted child performers like the TNT Boys, noting that they focused instead on their studies.
“Since hindi po pwede ‘yung mga bata sa iba’t ibang mga shows since pandemic po doon, nagfocus na lang po kami sa pag-aaral pero at the same time gumagawa naman po kami ng covers.”
Sanchez then expressed his excitement because he would be returning to live performances through the MAK Music Festival.
“This year po sobrang excited na po ako kasi first time ko po mag-perform sa public at sa music festival.”
In 2019, the TNT Boys Mackie Empuerto, Keifer Sanchez, and Francis Concepcion surprised the stage of CBS’ The World’s Best with their performance of Beyonce’s chart-topping hit, Listen. It made the group a worldwide sensation.
However, recent rumors surfaced that the group disbanded after Sanchez signed with Mak Entertainment Services in 2021. Sanchez dispelled the rumors, assuring fans that they are still a group.
Sanchez joins fellow OPM artists such as Kyla, Jay-R, Darren Espanto, EZ-Mil, Froilan Canlas, HBOM, Steven Paysu, and Kaela Francheska at The MAK Musik Festival on April 1 and 2 in Los Angeles, California.
Produced by MAK Entertainment Services, tickets are available for purchase at their website, www.makmusikfestival.com.
