Bea Alonzo admitted that the Philippine adaptation of Start-Up convinced her to sign an exclusive contract with Kapuso Network.
On March 4, on 24 Oras, Alonzo revealed that even before formally signing a contract with GMA Network, the Philippine adaptation of Start-Up was one of the first projects she pitched.
“Alam mo, nakakatuwa kasi even before I signed with GMA, my first-ever meeting with the bosses, ito na yung na-pitch sa akin, and this is one of the reasons why I decided to become a Kapuso.
“So now that finally, finally, it is happening, I am very very excited,” she confessed.
Alonzo also shared she felt nervous knowing that she will be working with Alden Richards for the upcoming series.
“I know he’s such a brilliant actor, nakita ko rin siya sa workshops namin and sobrang nakaka-impress yung performance niya.
“So, kahit ako, kinakabahan na makasama si Alden. Iniisip ko, I have to be on my toes, kailangan galingan ko rin kasi magaling si Alden,” she said.
Richards said he is looking forward to working with Alonzo, considering that the two of them are hands-on with their jobs.
“Nag-workshops kami for other projects, hindi niya pinapalampas yung small details. Sabi ko, tama, perfect match, kasi parehas kaming hands-on sa trabaho.
“Napanood ko rin po siya and excited rin po ako. This is my first K-Drama adaptation project.
“Parang ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam mabigyan ng opportunity to be able to do something na hinahanap ng audience,” he shared.
