Several OPM artists and social media celebrities have denied any involvement in a supposed campaign rally of Uniteam.
Cong TV, Team Payaman, Zack Tabudlo, IV of Spades, Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, Agsunta, Philia, and Toni Gonzaga were named as performers in the upcoming Uniteam campaign rally to be held in Zamboanga on April 10.
The poster of the alleged rally posted by a certain ThunderStruck on Facebook (which is now already deleted) quickly generated traction, with netizens rushing to ask for comments from the involved personalities.
However, the majority of the names included in the online promotional material vehemently denied their participation in the said rally.
“This is not true”
Vlogger and content creator Cong TV also took to Facebook to deny the claim saying it is Fake news.
“Di nga makapagvalorant tas mangangampanya pa. Fake news.”
Same with Vien Iligan of Team Payaman, who called it Fake News in her Instagram Story.
Kamikazee member Allan Burdeos meanwhile made a feisty Facebook post saying they will never be involved in this campaign. He also blasted those involved in creating the poster for using their band’s name without their permission.
Burdeos also recorded that “they are not for sale.”
“Never ako nagsalita against sa mga nagkakampanya for presidency. Kahit na obvious na kung gaano kadumi or hindi qualified ang kandidato.
Singer Zach Tabudlo also dismissed the claim as fake news. He also scored the poster for using an unpleasant picture of him.
“Awit peyk news na nga lang di pa magandang picture ginamit sakin”
IV of Spades Blaster Silonga also denied the claim in his Facebook post, saying it will never happen cause right now he’s burning the bridge.
“Seryosong sagot. Kailanman hindi mangyayari ito, ngayon palang sinusunog kona ang tulay. “
In their Facebook post, OPM band Agsunta also clarified the issue, saying they’re not part of it.
“Wala po kami dito, nasa bahay lang kami ng araw na yan.”
Philia and Toni Gonzaga, meanwhile, didn’t give any reaction.
Toni is the regular host of Uniteam’s campaign sorties.
