In a facebook post on Sunday, February 27. actress and Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) director-general Vivian Velez said that Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s (BBM) absence from debates showed that he has no clear plan for the country’s government.
She criticized Marcos Jr, following the latter’s absence from the presidential debate organized by CNN Philippines.
“Marcos Jr. is playing not to lose by simply guarding his gains. Many have lost with that strategy. We hope this will not be an exception,” she wrote.
Velez stressed the importance of speaking in public for presidential aspirants for them to relay their platforms.
“It’s important that candidates take the opportunity to speak to the public and present their plans for government.
“Kung hindi ka humaharap, ibig sabihin wala kang malinaw na plataporma. Gising, Pilipinas,” Velez said.
Velez showed her support for Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who is known as a supporter of Rodrigo Duterte, for his presidential race in the upcoming elections.
