Netizens are asking if Vhong Navarro will also be canceled on social media after speculations of being a Bongbong Marcos supporter.
On March 1, a TikTok video became viral after featuring Navarro doing a peace sign—a hand gesture that is widely associated with Marcos.
The video was taken during the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of It’s Showtime when the hosts of the show were introduced.
Navarro did a finger heart gesture at first.
He was followed by Kim Chiu, Amy Perez, and Vice Ganda, who also did the same thing. After the camera shot was back on him, he subtly made a peace sign.
The peace sign was the symbol used by Marcos for his presidential campaign.
On his TikTok account that has 5.5M followers, an Instagram account that has 7M followers, a twitter account that 6.8M followers, a facebook account that has 1.5 followers, and a YouTube channel that has 1.63M subscribers, Navarro has revealed no information of him being a supporter of BBM or any presidential candidates.
Netizens are saying that Navarro’s hand gesture may not have any political meaning behind it.
Navarro has yet to disclose a statement regarding the rumors of him supporting Marcos for the presidency.
