Toni Gonzaga pokes at her detractors, declares UniTeam doesn’t promote Cancel Culture

On March 22, TV host Toni Gonzaga poked at her detractors on social media by declaring that the BBM-Sara tandem called UniTeam doesn’t promote Cancel Culture.

During her hosting of the UniTeam rally in Cavite, Gonzaga said that the political party does not condone Cancel Culture but Filipino Culture.

“Napakasarap po ang mapasama sa rally ng UniTeam sapagkat sa UniTeam, hindi uso ang cancel culture. Ang buhay na buhay sa UniTeam, Filipino Culture.

“Kung ang puso ng iba ay punong puno ng galit, ang puso natin lahat, punong puno ng pagmamahal at pag-unawa.”

She seemingly aimed her words at netizens who didn’t favor her support of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.

As a result, netizens went on social media to react to her jabs during the rally.

One netizen pointed out that BBM supporters were usually the ones to resort to Cancel Culture.

Other netizens pointed out that they wanted to seek out truth and accountability from BBM.

Stating the truth isn’t canceling someone. By what you did, you canceled your workmates, your home network. What do you have to say about that?

Some even referenced her previous statement about being unbothered by the opinions of others, noting how Gonzaga seemed bothered by talking about Cancel Culture.

Yun, she never bothered to ask herself why. Proudly unbothered sa common sense na tinutulungan siya ng iba na makita.

Others recalled how the allies of the UniTeam party “canceled” her home network when they shut down ABS-CBN in 2020.

Toni, si Marcoleta ang pasimuno ng ‘cancel’ ABS CBN franchise…

You supported him…

Kung si Kris nabubwisit, ako rin

One netizen alluded to her unfollowing her Kapamilya colleagues in her Instagram account.

Gonzaga also urged the UniTeam supporters to ignore the “bayaran” tag from social media during the event.
