Sylvia Sanchez warned her son Arjo Atayde of the old school dirty tricks in politics, implying it is a common technique to bring down the name of your opponents.
On February 24, via YouTube, Ogie Diaz uploaded his interview with Sanchez.
“Hindi kami lalaban ng sira. Old school ‘yung pangangampanya na siraan mo ‘yung kalaban mo. That’s not my cup of tea. Hindi ako ganoon’,” she stated.
Sanchez admitted that she was not in favor of Atayde entering the field of politics at first, but she eventually supported her son due to his sincerity in his plans.
Atayde is running for congress and would be representing the 1s district of Quezon City, under the partnership of the present Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte.
Sanchez left a message for his son, wishing that he would not be consumed by power if the latter wins.
