realme 9 pro features a solid snapdragon process with 5G, has a sleek design, adding 120Hz refresh rate and 64mp triple camera.
There are some changes or added features in realme 9 pro plus but let me focus more on realme 9 pro.

The box comes with a yellow and black color that signifies the brand. Inside the box, are the manuals, warranty paper, sim pin injector, free jelly case cover, the realme 9 pro unit, 33W power brick, and the USB Type -C cable.
DESIGN, DISPLAY AND BUILD.
The realme 9 Pro 5G is the toned-down version of 9 pro+, some changes like 33W charging, IPS display, 64MP camera are degraded as opposed to 50W, AMOLED , 108MP camera of realme 9 pro plus.
The 120HZ display, the 5000mah battery, Qualcomm snapdragon 695 chipset that supports 5G, and realme UI 3.0 are the upgrades over the realme 8 pro last year.
Flipping the phone, you can see the stunning light shifting and sparkling at the back. It is covered with glossy finish glasstic. It shimmers beautifully when the light is directed on it.
It has 2.5D curved corning gorilla glass 5 in an 8.5mm thin design and weighs around 195 grams. The side frames are made of plastic, the phone still looks beautiful and comfortable to grip. The right side of the device has power with fingerprints equipped on it. On the bottom, there are the 3.5mm headphone jack port, type-c charging port, and the single speaker grille. Going to the left side, are the volume buttons and the sim card tray. Finally, at the top is the microphone hole alone. You will find a triple camera at the back and the realme logo.

SOFTWARE AND USER INTERFACE.
The realme 9 pro boots up with Android 12 and realme UI 3.0 skin out of the box. Realme UI 3.0 was released a few months ago and loaded with features. Realme UI 3.0 brings new look , fluid design, UI personalization, smoother animation, custom always-on display, new privacy features, and more. There are bloatware apps installed on the device but can be removed if you don’t need them.
HARDWARE , PERFORMANCE AND GAMING.
The realme 9 pro equips with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, it focuses on the mid-range segment. A 6nm process consisting of 2+6 core configurations, two high-performance Kryo 660 Gold cores clocked at 2.2 GHz, and six power-efficient Kryo Silver cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. You can expect the performance to be suitable for daily use and light gaming.
While gaming, it can manage the best graphic settings. There is no discomfort when using. Playing doesn’t get too warm and heat up.
There is a single loudspeaker, not quite impressive but good enough for regular use. Please do avoid setting up to the highest volume as it gets the audio quality degraded. Fortunately, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack port as an alternative for heavy music use.
The RAM has an LPDDR4X and UFS. 2.2 for storage type, it speeds up the read-write within apps. The device comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Storage can be expanded via microSD card. There is a RAM expansion technology that helps increase your ram virtually up to 5GB.
CAMERA
The realme 9 Pro has a triple camera setup on the back, with 64MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro. For the selfie, there is a 16MP camera on the front. The device camera performs quite well and better. The colors produced are good in the daytime. Images captured are sharp and detailed. Selfies shot does light up your face and brightens at night. Contrast and saturation are average.
There is a Street Photography mode 2.0 which enables filters like Neon Trail, Light Trail portrait, Rush Hour, and Light Painting. There is also a Dual-View video, Starry mode, Film, and Tilt-Shift.
The camera app has 2x zoom for the main, 0.6x for wide-angle. It is good for macro shots, portraits, slow-mo videos, time-lapse, and panorama.
The camera can record up to 1080p at 30 fps if you are not a vlogger then this is enough and not a big deal.
Overall, the camera performs well.
BATTERY AND CHARGING.
The realme 9 pro 5G packs a 5000mah battery capacity with a 33W dart charger. The phone can charge from 0 to 100 percent in about 75 minutes. You can expect the device to last about 2 days on average use. The device can go up to 6 hours of on-screen time with heavy usage.
Keep in mind that it has the realme UI 3.0 which can optimize the battery performance. Plus a newer 6nm CPU for its battery saving and efficiency.
VERDICT.
The realme 9 Pro 5G is a good choice for features like 120HZ display, Snapdragon 695 CPU, 33W fast charging, good battery performance, dynamic RAM expansion, and with its UI 3.0 based on the latest Android 12. There is a decent camera that performs well plus it has the shimmering gradient light effect design. The realme 9 pro 5G price at 14,990 for the 8GB/128GB storage. It is still a good option for users who want a smartphone under the P15000 price range.
