The second season of the Mano Po series, Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss, just debuted on the GMA Network Telebabad, but at this time, the executives are now discussing the third installment of the series.
On March 14, Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss, starring Bianca Umali, Teejay Marquez, Kelvin Miranda, and Ken Chan premiered and earned a 7.0% rating.
Its predecessor Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune recorded an 11.0% rating during its finale episode on February 25.
Because of the series’ performance, the Regal Entertainment and GMA Network executives are now planning out its third season.
During the digital media conference on March 8, GMA’s First Vice-President for Program Management Joey Abacan expressed how they are proud of Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss.
“I am very, very proud of the cast of Mano Po: The Family Fortune, gandang-ganda ako diyan. Ngayon, hindi ko akalain na may mapagsasama-sama na naman kami ni Roselle sa pangalawa,” the Vice-President referred to Regal Entertainment Inc. COO.
Abacan also quipped and said that he’d wanted to add thrill to the third installment and fuse talents with personal grudges.
“Hopefully, sa third naman, gusto ko magkakasama yung magkakagalit. Gusto kong subukan iyon kaya lang baka maloka kami ni Roselle.”
According to Monteverde, the story path of the Mano Po series will be similar to its film version.
“Even before we made Mano Po: The Family Fortune, nakaplano na talaga na first Mano Po story, parang sa film version, centered sa family ang kuwento, mas drama siya, may mga isyu. Then we shifted to Ako Legal Wife na comedy.
“Parang ganoon din ang path na naisip namin na gawin sa Mano Po television series, drama then romantic comedy.”
