Female entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our country. According to government estimates, nearly 90 percent of micro and small entrepreneurs are owned by women, women who are striving to make a difference in the lives of their families and the communities they live in.

In time for Women’s Month, Packworks, the country’s fastest growing business-to-business technology platform that serves sari-sari stores around the country, is working together with Connected Women to empower and enable nanay-preneurs through innovative solutions that will positively impact their lives and the people they value most.

Packworks is doing this through its Sari-yuda campaign, a program that the company will launch this month which aims to provide business relief to sari-sari stores that need it most. The campaign is a collaboration between Packworks, Connected Women, AXA, and several local government units around the country.

The collaboration between Packworks and Connected Women through the Sari-yuda program will help the latter reach Packworks’ network of 141,000 sari-sari stores around the country and create jobs in artificial intelligence (AI) and other digital tasks.

“Aligned with Packworks’ mission to educate 1.1 million sari-sari stores with financial literacy, together we can empower and uplift micro-entrepreneurs across the Philippines, creating a bigger impact for those who are most in need,” Gina Romero, CEO and Co-Founder of Connected Women said.

“We’re really excited about our partnership with Connected Women. It just seems right that they’re focused on capability building for marginalized nanays, and we’re focused on amplifying nanay-preneurs and their sari-sari stores. Our partnership will help nanays build digital skills to help other nanays in sari-sari stores build business skills. It’s nanays helping nanays with Connected Women and Packworks as the bridge,” Ibba Bernardo, CMO and Co-Founder of Packworks added.

Connected Women is a social impact startup that provides Filipino women with relevant skills to help them adapt to the future of work. The organization trains women in market aligned skills for the AI and digital tasks industry, and provides flexible work-from-home job opportunities. With this socially responsible outsourcing model, international companies can benefit from high-quality and affordable data annotation while making an impact on Filipino women and their families.

Meanwhile, Packworks empowers sari-sari stores in the Philippines through scalable and accessible technology. Through its specially designed technology-based solutions it has grown its reach to 137,000 sari-sari stores all over the country. Packworks does this through its built for ease, scalable, and data-driven business tools and platforms.
