Ogie Diaz shared how he told his children that he’s gay on Vicki Belo’s YouTube vlog uploaded on Thursday, March 3.
Diaz admitted his true sexual orientation to his kids when they were teased in nursery school.
“Nagtatalo yung mga anak ko sa harap ko,” he recalled.
One child said to the other, “sabihin mo na kay daddy” and the other one said, “ayoko baka magalit si daddy”. After seeing a photo of Diaz, one of Erin’s, classmates said,“Bakla naman niyang daddy mo eh”.
Diaz said his daughter contradicted this and she was not offended. The comedian-talent manager then narrated how he made a joke about the serious matter. He told his kids, “Oh next time ha, pag nag-insist pa sila na bakla daddy niyo, huwag kayo magagalit, sabi ko. Saka kayo magalit kapag sinabi ang daddy niyo tomboy.”
He also shared during the interview that he met his wife, Georgette del Rosario, while he was working in a comedy bar.
“Kung ako ay tunay na lalaki, hindi ako papatulan niyan. Gusto niya kasi yung lambutin, hindi nagbibihis babae pero bading,” Diaz said.
