Kapamilya comedian, talent manager, and host Ogie “The King of Shades” Diaz has been a mainstay personality in Vice President Leni Robredo’s campaign rallies.
He has been one of the main hosts in several people’s campaign rallies for the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem.
Being a host and comedian, Diaz also played as the crowd energizer once he started dropping truth bombs against rival candidates.
In Bacolod on March 11, Ogie continued with his forte by taking a swipe and throwing shades against the campaign of VP Leni’s foremost rival Bongbong Marcos.
“Wala ba ritong nananakawan? Walang nawawalan?… Oh ayan ha, ibig sabihin mga honest kayo.
“Pag may nahulugan kayo ng susi, ng llisensya, ng wallet, ng celphone, naku dyosko pag dito sa rally na yan matatagpuan nyo agad,” said Ogie.
That is a direct swipe at the UniTeam campaign rallies where there were records of theft and pickpocketing.
During the proclamation rally in Philippine Arena several Marcos supporters admitted on social media that they lost some belongings during the rally.
It happened again in the UniTeam’s campaign rally in Guiguinto, Bulacan where many of their supporters took on the stage to announce that they lost their wallets, cellphones, and other belongings.
Even some media crew members covering the event were also victimized by thieves operating at the Uniteam rallies.
Another truth bomb dropped by Ogie during the rally was the issue with the transportation going to the Paglaum Stadium.
“Akala ko ba walang bus? Akala ko ba may pumigil? Sabi na nga ba pag gusto (ang kandidato), walang imposible!
“Hoy Agot, Duds walang hinakot dyan ha. Kaya lang naghakot kasi nagcancel” taking swipe at the alleged cancellation of rented Ceres buses, a day before the rally.

Ceres Bus owners are known for being Marcos Jr. supporters.
Another issue that Ogie consistently brought up on stage is the issue of food stubs and loot bags.
“Ay kailangan ba nila ng food stub? Ah walang food stub? Oh walang food stub ah, baka meron na naman magimbento na may food stub, walang food stub ha. At nakakatuwa hindi sila nagaagawan, walang nagaaway sa pila, hindi sila nag-aaway, ganyan ang mga kakampinks.”

The Marcos campaign rallies have always been trending online for their chaotic distribution of goods and stubs to its rally participants.
During their proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena, a video clip of supporters ransacking a pile of bread boxes became viral. The video showed the supporters seemingly looting a bread factory as they scrambled to get their piece of the campaign goodies.
Ogie also took a pot shot on drone shots saying “Hindi bawal ang drones” in all VP Leni’s campaign rallies.
The shade came from the viral social media post from the Marcos campaign workers saying drones are not allowed in Marcos rallies and sorties.
I saw 8 drones during the Bacolod rally and the host Ogie Diaz kept on saying drones are allowed anytime during VP Leni's rallies😂

And another notable truth bomb that Ogie detonated during the Bacolod rally was the audience set-up.
“Alam nyo ba? Alam nyo ba sa ibang campaign ha, ang layo ng audience, puro upuan dyan ng VIP. Dito ang kabilin bilinan ni maam Leni, kailangan malapit ako sa tao.”
The statement stems from Marcos’s campaign rallies–to which the campaign team would not allow ordinary supporters to come close to him because they said Marcos Jr is suffering bruises from “over delighted” supporters.
Marcos’ caravan in Caloocan was a hot topic on social media after he snubbed a supporter who wanted to shake hands with him.
There were also video clips of Marcos snubbing supporters who wanted to take a picture of him but didn’t bother to roll down the window of his van.
And another one wherein one supporter tried to take a selfie with him on stage, but his security detail prevented the person from getting close to him.
