Filipino rock band The Juans expressed their desire to collaborate with SB19 Thursday, March 17.
In the press conference for their latest album Liwanag, lead vocalist Carl Guevarra said, “Absolutely! In fact, sila yung una lagi naming naiisip whenever we would write na bagay sa collaboration.”
Initially, there were plans to do a song together with SB19 in their latest album. However, the two groups decided to postpone their collaboration because of how popular the boy band was.
SB19 was supposed to be with The Juans during their presscon but failed to do so due to the former needing to fly to Dubai for their concert.
“They were actually supposed to be here with us. So ganoon sila ka-supportive sa amin. But they had to fly to Dubai last minute. So all support and all prayers for them.”
Guevarra also shared that they still have plans to make music together sometime this year. He was certain that more than one song would be with SB19.
“But what we are sensing right now is that it’s not just gonna be one song. Maybe even two or three songs. But I’m not at liberty to disclose all the plans.”
In October 2021, The Juans and SB19 performed together in TM Doble Dekada Piyestang Pina-Easy, a virtual event by the Filipino cellular giant TM.
Guevarra then teased the fans of both groups that they should watch out for the collaboration soon.
“Also, we wanted to do a song na talagang kami yung sumulat, kami yung nag-process ganiyan. We have started the initial works for that. So that is something people should definitely watch out for.”
Liwanag album is already out on Spotify and various streaming platforms. The lyric videos of the songs have been released on the group’s YouTube channel since March 18.
