On March 25, TV and radio newscaster Mike Enriquez cited the credible election coverage with his return to GMA News and Public Affairs.
During the media conference for Enriquez’s return after a successful kidney transplant, he highlighted his upcoming appearances from DZBB, 24 Oras, to GMA Network’s election coverage.
“Sa Monday morning at seven o’clock, I’ll be on the air sa DZBB, for two hours, seven to nine, Monday to Friday. And then sa evening, sa 24 Oras, every Saturday afternoon we will have Imbestigador, and then coming up, it’s now being /prepared. And I’ve been in touch with our producers about this, our huge, huge, huge, and most importantly, credible election coverage.”
He noted that it is all in God’s perfect time, emphasizing the importance of credible election news coverage.
“Sabi ko nga eh, in God’s perfect timing. In God’s perfect time. He willed that I return to work, that I return on air. Now that kailangan na kailangan.”
In December 2021, Enriquez went on medical leave to undergo a kidney transplant that required a three-month isolation period.
Enriquez shared the struggles after his surgery and during his three-month isolation period.
“‘Yung pinagdaanan ko medyo mahirap. Aside from the procedure itself, the kidney transplant–mayroong three months mandatory isolation period for transplant patients. And the purpose of that is to avoid rejection and infection.
“Kasi ‘yung mga kidney transplant patients immuno compromised sila eh. Tapos ako tulad ko may mga comorbidities pa ako, senior citzen ako, diabetic. Ang maishe-share ko lang sa mga dadaan sa pinagdaanan ko is keep the faith, never lose faith.”
The GMA News pillar and multi-awarded broadcast journalist Mike Enrique returned to television and radio just in time for GMA Network’s most comprehensive Eleksyon 2022 coverage.
