The contract-signing of Kapamilya stars Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and JC de Vera turned emotional as Direk Lauren Dyogi expressed his gratitude to the three.
On March 23, ABS-CBN held a contract-signing event dubbed “Good Job, ” a popular catchphrase in their noontime show It’s Showtime.
ABS-CBN executives present at the event were head of finance Rick Tan, chief operating officer Cory Vidanes, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, and chairman Mark Lopez.
The contract-signing event then turned emotional after Direk Lauren thanked Navarro, Alcasid, and de Vera for staying with ABS-CBN despite the lack of a franchise.
“This is a very important day for all of us. We are formally renewing our commitment with you JC, Vhong, and Ogie,” he said.
“Sa totoo lang, what’s important was the last two years. Iyong two years na dinaanan natin hindi biro.”
Navarro, Alcasid, and de Vera were holding back their tears at this moment.
“Those were two years of difficult times na walang pirmahan. There was a lot of uncertainty, pero you were here. You were here with us,” said Dyogi.
Direk Lauren then assured that the ABS-CBN network would continue to support its artist.
“‘Yung mga taong kasama namin sa hirap, ngayong paahon tayo, we’ll be together. We’re committed to be with you and to support you because you did a good job in serving the public and being with us.
“Maraming, maraming, maraming salamat sa inyong tatlo,” he said.
The ABS-CBN network was forced to shut down in May 2021 after its bid for a franchise renewal was denied.
Lauren Dyogi previously mentioned that the crisis of ABS-CBN has taught him the value of humility.
