Entertainment columnist Lolit Solis divulged a story about a big chance for John Lloyd Cruz to assume the role of Pastor Quiboloy in a biopic.
On Instagram, Solis expressed excitement regarding this upcoming project. Considering Quiboloy’s number of supporters, she believes that this will be a sure hit added up by the acting prowess of Cruz.
Atty. Ferdie Topacio, the legal counsel of Quiboloy, confirmed in February that a biopic is in the works to share the story of Quiboloy.
Quiboloy is the church leader of the Philippines-based Restorationist church called the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Topacio is one of the owners of Borracho Film Production, and Direk Lester Dimaranan accompanied him to discuss the project with Quiboloy.
He also revealed that Cruz is their top choice to play the lead role in the biopic.
The biopic will feature the life story of Quiboloy from his early childhood years until now he’s facing issues and criticisms.
“Ang kuwento, mula nung pagkabata… ang mga signs na siya ay destined to found a ministry, hanggang ngayon, yung against all odds.
“Nung umalis siya sa kanyang dating denomination, labing tatlo na lang sila, and then hanggang sa lumago nang lumago, more than 200 congregations worldwide and 6 billion members.”
