GMA Network First Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan detailed on March 9, how GMA Network and Regal Entertainment came up with its new partnership series Mano Po Legacy.
During the media conference for Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss, Abacan said he wanted to revive the partnerships GMA Network had with Regal Entertainment before.
“We started talking about some shows, we wanted to bring back ‘yung parang ginagawa ng GMA [Network] before na Mother Studio, and then ginawa namin na parang Regal Studio Presents. And from there namunga na, we wanted to try out Mano Po.”
He then teased that they’re already working on the third installment of the Mano Po series.
And, we are working on the third Mano Po already as a matter a fact, we met last week. And then some other materials that we’ll be doing.”Â
He shared how he enjoys working with Regal Entertainment head Roselle Monteverde.
“You really have to be enjoying what you do. As a matter of fact, very harmonious kami ni Roselle with [a lot of] things. Kaya siguro mas maraming blessings. Mas natutuwa ako kapag may nakikita akong Regal Babies noon, at Regal Babies ngayon, and the other people.”
He also admitted that he felt happy with the casting of Mano Po Legacy‘s current installments.
“And I said nga even the casting combination, it gets better every time na nag-uumpisa. Of course, I’m very proud of Mano Po 1, Family Fortune.
