Singer-comedian Janno Gibbs is currently a social media star following the release of his satire video “BTS: President Gibbs Headquarters” on Thursday, March 17.
The video is obviously a counter to Darryl Yap’s Len-len series. A shade against Marcoss Jr. featured Janno as Presidential candidate President Gibbs with Leo Martinez as this senior adviser Congressman Manik Manaog.
Darryl Yap’s Len-len series featured Juliana Pariscova and Sen. Imee Marcos, highlighting a negative campaign against Marcos’s rival VP Leni Robredo.
Meanwhile, at the start of the video, Leo immediately throws shade at Darryl Yap when it shows him watching Yap’s Len-len series episode.
“Ay eh, yung pinagawa natin kay Daryl.. yung ‘bang ah– Len-Len content,” said Leo’s character.
President Gibbs, meanwhile, asked Manaog why they are making videos against their rivals and not about his accomplishments.
“Hindi ba pwedeng gumawa naman kayo ng content na tungkol sakin. Tungkol sa mga accomplishments ko, achievements,” he asked.
But the senior adviser quickly countered Pres. Gibbs says he has no accomplishments that they can feature, even asking what have he done in the past few years.
“Bakit? may accomplishment ka ba? Ay, wala naman eh! Ano bang nagawa mo the past few years ha?”
President Gibbs then used the “father’s legacy” card, which Marcos Jr. supporters are banking on.
“Ang tatay ko, napakaraming awards. Grandslam!”
But Manaog immediately opposed saying it was his father’s achievement, not his.
“Ay tatay mo iyon! Eh ikaw? Ikaw mismo may award ka ba? Wala naman eh!”
The video also throws shade on Marcos’ absences in debates and his fake diploma.
“Oy oy oy, pag sumali ka diyan eh mahahalatang bobo ka?” said Manaog
“Ay grabe siya hindi naman ako bobo ‘no. Matalino ito ‘no. Nag masters nga ako sa Ateneo eh.” President Gibbs answered.
“Alam naman nating lahat na hindi peke ‘yon,” Manaog said.
And on the last part, Manaog took a pot shot on Marcos’ habitual clenching of jaw.
“President Junior, masyado ka nang mag-coke ah. Ay hindi mo ba alam na masama sa katawan mo iyan?
“Masama ang sugar sa katawan mo… mangingiwi ka pa diyan.”
Netizens, meanwhile can’t help but praise and admire Janno for his latest video.
The video immediately attracted positive comments from the netizens saying it was a brave act since he was both the writer and director.

“Wow, written and directed by Janno Gibbs himself. Also yes, time to bring back political satire to mainstream media. Mas maiintindihan ng mga pinoy ang social at political commentary through comedy.” @mervinafan
