On March 3, recent reports surfaced that Kapamilya artist Ivana Alawi would be starring in a new Kapamilya teleserye alongside Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jameson Blake, and Jake Ejercito.
Although the said teleserye titled A Family Affair has no set release date, reports say that the Kapamilya network plans to air the series in 2022.
There are also speculations that Alawi’s launching teleserye was a version of the shelved Kapamilya series, Kahit Minsan Lang, starring former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo, alongside Richard Gutierrez, Rafael Rosel, Jameson Blake, and Christian Bables.
As for her career, Alawi joined the reality TV show Starstruck in 2015. She then appeared on multiple projects such as Magpakailanman, 3pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon, and Sitsit.
She gained popularity as a vlogger influencer after starting her YouTube channel in 2019.
She then signed her contract with ABS-CBN in 2020 and was set to star in the teleserye Ang Lihim ni Ligaya. However, Alawi opted to step down from the role because of the health risks involved with the pandemic. The series changed to La Vida Lena, and Erich Gonzales took over the lead role.
