Idol Philippines grand winner Zephanie Dimaranan, signed a contract with GMA Network, Thursday, March 31, confirming the speculation that she was planning to switch networks.
She just signed a contract under the network’s talent arm Sparkle.
Early this year, Dimaranan was already speculated to make her way to the Kapuso Network.
The singer began her career as a regular performer in the Kapamilya variety show ASAP NATIN ‘TO after winning the 2019 Idol Philippines.
She was part of The New Gen Champs together with Janine Berdin and Elha Nympha. However, their group was put on hold until Berdin and Nympha returned to the variety show in October 2020.
Dimaranan was best known for bringing life to Kapamilya series theme songs. It started when she sang her rendition of Ebe Dancel’s Bawat Daan for the teleserye Killer Bride.
The singer was also behind the theme song of the movie James and Pat and Dave, singing Gloc-9’s Simpleng Tao.
She also performed along with former Westlife member Brian McFadden on his first major solo concert in the Philippines called Romantic Intimate Concert at Waterfront Cebu and New Frontier Theater, respectively.

After ABS-CBN suffered a huge blow due to its shut down in 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Dimaranan was among the Kapamilya talents who transferred to TV5.
That same year, she interpreted the song Tinadhana Sa ‘Yo, an official entry for the 11th Himig Handog.
However, her stint at the Kapatid Network was short-lived, re-appearing in the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime in March 2021 as the mystery singer in its segment Hide and Sing.
Before making her way to GMA Network, she became the country’s representative for the Now United Creative Hub, at the age of 19.
Her last project before making the switch was her self-titled debut album Zephanie.
Dimaranan is believed to be making her first appearance as a Kapuso through the variety show All-Out Sundays.
