Kapamilya star Francine Diaz has never dated anyone but had false hopes by someone, she revealed on Friday, March 18.
During the virtual media conference for her upcoming iWantTFC original series Bola-Bola, the 18-year-old actress revealed, “Never pa po akong naligawan, uhm… nabola. Char! Hahaha!”
Though it was not serious, a fling perhaps, Diaz almost fell to that person.
“I think nabola lang pero hindi naman siya seryosong bola. S’yempre kabataan, nasa teenage life, may mga pa-fall. Wala pang nanligaw sa akin ever. Bola lang talaga.”
She added, “Kaunti! Hahaha! Naniwala eh!”
It also made her learn how to determine someone who is serious and who is not.
“Siguro po ang hindi bola sa akin kapag ka totoo kang tao and kapag ka straightforward ka,” said Diaz.
But fair warning, being straightforward would also not instantly a good thing for Diaz. She prefers direct guys who are sensitive, too.
“Kasi may mga straightforward na basta-basta lang nagsasalita. Hindi na sila… walang consideration sa mga words na ginagamit nila.”
She also looks into the personality of a possible suitor.
“For me, I think ang hindi bola is maging mabait ka and marespeto sa tao—sa babae, and yung walang paliguy-ligoy. Kasi kapag may pa-hint-hint ka, ‘yan ang bola talaga, haha.
“Maging straightforward ka or mag-shut up ka na lang, hahaha.”
Bola-Bola also stars newbies KD Estrada, Akira Morishita, and Ashton Salvador. It is under the direction of JP Habac and is based on the book written by Anna Geronga.
The series is about Thea (Diaz), a plus-sized woman who considers eating as her most cherished passion. Meanwhile, Morishita and Estrada’s characters were Thea’s childhood friends, with Salvador’s being her fitness trainer.
Bola-Bola will be available on iWantTFC starting March 26.
