Pinoy rapper Ez Mil (Ezekiel Miller) recalled the struggles he faced amid the pandemic during the media conference for the MAK Musik Festival on March 5, 2022.
EZ Mil said that the limitations brought by the pandemic put things into perspective for the rap artist.
“When that hit, it just put things into perspective when it comes to like—so what we’re you willing to do because you’re now even more limited than you already were. So it all boils down to the connections in the pandemic.”
He then shared how he decided to pursue his career as a rap artist, resulting in his successful song release for Panalo.
“Sa Pinas ‘yung pagsabog ng mga 24 Bars. Like how the decision making of how that happened, it boiling it down and me grinding it out for the internet. And I just looked for release kasi because of everything, being so internal because of the pandemic.”
He then listed his preparations for the upcoming music festival in April.
“So the changes from how everything is when it comes to performing now, especially with the whole pandemic, would have to be stamina training and handling breathing techniques.
“Just the struggle to get my stamina up to the point that I’m not slurring anything, para hindi na ako hikahosin when spitting a verse or when my notes don’t run short trying to hit them. So just like the whole preparation of that. (Alongside) everything that has been /planned–to roll out in the next album and the homecoming tour, it’s a lot. But I’m ready for it.”
EZ Mil’s rap song, Panalo, went viral with millions of views following his Wish Bus USA performance.
EZ Mil performs at The MAK Musik Festival on April 1 and 2 in Los Angeles, California, alongside fellow OPM artists such as Kyla, Jay R, Darren Espanto, Froilan Canlas, HBOM, Steven Paysu, Keifer Sanchez, and Kaela Francheska.
