Filmmaker Darryl Yap refuted the claims of a netizen on Tuesday, March 22, saying that the Marcoses paid him for his endorsements.
The netizen allegedly explained that the houses, luxury cars, and other properties resulted from a P50 million fee from Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr in exchange for his loyalty.
Meanwhile, the controversial director behind the “Kape Chronicles” debunked the accusation. He even shared the proof of his expenses in a lengthy Facebook post.
Included in the explanation was his explanation behind the properties and luxury cars that he now owns.
Yap shared the vlog he uploaded on January 30, explaining why he sold his cars in another post.
He ended by saying, “So tapos na tayo sa Pedophile script? Ine-elaborate nyo na ang ‘bayaran’ plot ninyo.”
“Kape Chronicles” of Yap starred Sen. Imee Marcos, sister of the presidential aspirant Marcos Jr. The series of short videos were believed to be an “assault” on Vice President Leni Robredo who is also running for president.
