On March 20, Angel Locsin reunited with his Darna co-star Francis Magundayao during the PasigLaban rally event.
Francis first shared the Tiktok video of his chance encounter with Angel on his Instagram account. The former child actor wrote a video saying, “Darna And Iking Reunited.”Â
In the video, Francis was gushing when he saw his former co-star shouting, “Darna! Woo!”
He then approached Angel, seeming to catch up after 17 years. He also introduced his girlfriend to his Darna co-star during the event.
He then captioned the video saying, “Even after 17 years, superhero ka padin sa mata ko, ate.”
Angel commented to the post, “Nice to see you, my iking!” highlighting the bond they formed while filming GMA Network’s Darna in 2005. She also added a heart and pink flower emoji.Â
Francis replied to the comment noting, “ate salamat sa lahat ng pinaglalaban mo.”

Francis also shared a throwback photo through an Instagram story of him and Angel. He captioned it, “For context guys, eto po kami dati.”
Angel also shared an IG story of Francis’ post writing, “Darna fans! Reunited with my Iking sa Darna!!! Labyu!”
She followed it with a collage showing their reunion and a throwback photo of her and Francis.
Angel and Francis starred in GMA Network’s TV adaptation of Darna in 2005. Angel portrayed the iconic superheroine, Darna, while Francis was her sidekick, Iking.
Aside from Darna, Angel and Francis worked in the Kapuso series Asian Treasures in 2007.
Angel and Francis were among the 137,000 attendees of the PasigLaban event, in which they stood from the crowd expressing their support for Leni Robredo-Kiko Estrada in the 2022 elections.
